Day 4 – Clarington CIS

Happy weekend everyone! I am writing to you from the Golden Horseshoe health and safety summit that runs yearly. I was in my element, learning about other district’s strategies regarding psychosocial hazards in the workplace and the collective strategy required to mitigate it. It gave me some good ideas for next year to approach the board on their attendance management strategy, and rethinking how we can push back using the mechanisms of OHSA.

Today my video diary entry comes from Clarington CIS. A smaller site, but so integral to the functioning of the region. Without a properly staffed and funded alternative pathway, the service and effectiveness of all sites will suffer. It’s essential work and I’m so glad I have the trust of @dicaruso and the other staff of CCIS to come and defend their unique working conditions. Thank you for your hard work as always!

Make sure if you haven’t seen Dave Warda’s email today, the campaign materials from both candidates have come out. I hope you will do your work as the electorate to compare and contrast what our visions are moving forward and make an informed choice.

Campaign materials will take a pause over the weekend but I’m available to chat of course. Please reach out anytime.

Take care,

Chris
