Day 3 – Bowmanville (BHS)

Happy Thursday everyone. Another busy day at Federation House, but when I’m done my day, I’m enjoying all the conversations happening behind the scenes here in the campaign. I’m so grateful people are enjoying the videos and are appreciative of my ideas moving forward for the union.

Cheers to Carly Webb for the solid edit job for them!!!

Today, we are visiting BHS in Bowmanville. BHS took me in when I was first redundant in 2010 and my time on the staff was a great experience. The staff is an amazing team and they have built a great school community. That’s why I do want to warn that this video isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. I’m worried about BHS. There’s a lot of change on the horizon. I’ve been thinking about this a lot and preparing myself that if I were to become TBU President, I’d be ready to help BHS navigate the creation of the new high school in Newcastle. I’ve worked on learning the ins and outs of accommodation reviews every year since I’ve been on union release and now it is coming to fruition.

I’m ready to defend everything that I can BHS, and establish a fair and transparent process for when Newcastle HS (or whatever it is called) is built. I’ve been tuning into every board meeting for 2 years just in case. I’ve got you, BHS. I appreciate your engagement with my campaign. Please reach out anytime.

Anyone from BHS – if you have questions about this please feel free to DM me. Take care, Chris
